Elise Hameau had been a fashion journalist for a few years when she repeatedly noticed how traditional the bridal world was and she slowly grew inspired to challenge that. She launched her namesake bridal brand with a warm and welcoming atelier in the heart of le Marais in Paris and quickly became the reference for all fashionistas getting hitched.
She is now curating limited editions collections and collaborations.
Best place in the world
Anywhere with my husband.
Best place to eat
Le Richer, and all of Charles Compagnon's restaurants (l’Office, le 52…)
Le Richer, 2 Rue Richer, 75009 Paris, France.
Best place to drink
Chez Martin, 24 boulevard du temple, 75011 Paris, France.
Best place to dream
Any bookstore in the world. My husband and I collect books. It’s kind of an invasive hobby, so everytime we travel somewhere, we try to find the best bookstore in town and come back with 5 kilos of excess luggage. Last purchase : “Kim Jun Un looking at things” found at Comme un Roman bookstore, and a book of photography of the first same sex couples early 20th century found in Copenhagen.
Comme un Roman, 39 rue de Bretagne 75004 Paris, France
Best place to work
My atelier in the marais neighborhood in Paris.
Best place to breathe
My father's countryside house in Le Berry, a beautiful region in France.
Best place to be inspired
Chez Sarah at the flea market in Saint Ouen, all year long.
And twice a year, the flea markets in rue des Martyrs and rue de Bretagne, in Paris.
Chez Sarah, 18 Rue Jules Vallès, 93400 Saint-Ouen, France
Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris, France
Best place to love
An airstream trailer in the middle of nowhere, between Zion national Park and Bryce Canyon, in Escalante. A barbecue, a drive in and the nature around. Just perfect for a romantic night!
